Marine Le Pen goes into a final ballot with Emmanuel Macron after yesterdays election.
Le Pen was touted as the “strongest” candidate by U.S. President Donald Trump. After last weeks shooting in Paris Trump tweeted: “Another terrorist attack in Paris. The people of France will not take much more of this. Will have a big effect on presidential election!”
While Macron tries to focus on socialist issues, Le Pen is encouraging border control, safety of society and independence.
Election day is set for the 7th of May.
“I have always said that I’d like to be up against Emmanuel Macron in the second round because then the choice will be clear-cut,” Le Pen stated in an interview with La Croix International.
